No Chill Sugar Cookies
The Classic
1 Cup Butter, softened
1 Egg
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Almond Extract
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
3 1/4 Flour
Preheat oven to 350F
Mix sugar, butter, egg, almond and vanilla together until well blended. Stir in baking powder, salt and flour until dough is consistently mixed.
Split dough into two parts. Working with the first half, roll dough on floured surface to 1/8 inch think. Using a floured cookie cutter cut out shapes and place on parchment lined baking sheets. Re-roll remaining dough or mix it back in with remaining half.
Bake for 8-11 minutes with slightly golden on the bottoms.
Chocolate Version
1 Cup Butter, softened
1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 1/2 Vanilla
2 Cups Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
Preheat oven to 350F
Beat together bitter, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Add in flour, baking powder and cocoa powder. Mix until smooth consistency.
Roll out on floured surface to 1/8 inch thick. Bake on lined baking sheet for 8-12 minutes.
